Coulee Region Humane Society overcrowded with cats

The Coulee Region Humane Society is in desperate need of cat adopters.

Right now, there are more than 120 cats and kittens calling the humane society home.

A spokesperson says they can usually handle between 60 and 100 cats, but once it goes above that, it’s a stretch to care for all of them. “If there’s anyone out there that is considering adding a pet to their home, our animals have never needed you more than right now,” said Liz Meil.

The humane society asks any cat owners to have them spayed or neutered to help control the pet population.
