Council: La Crosse residents can keep bees on property
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse City Council approved an ordinance Thursday night allowing residents to keep bees on their property.
The ordinance says a five-year license will be required in order to keep a colony of bees on your property as well as approval from at least 50% of all neighbors within 100 feet of the property line.
The colonies would also have to kept at least 25 feet from buildings and 10 feet from sidewalks.
