Cows help police round up suspect

A suspect in Florida trying to outrun deputies ended up trying to outrun cows.

Jennifer Anne Kaufman likely didn’t know she was running into a pasture full of cows, but as soon as she did, the bovine brigade gave chase – and it was all caught on video by the Seminole County Sheriff’s helicopter.

The overhead deputies gave the play-by-play to those on the ground, with one even chiming in, “If you see a large group of cows, they’re literally following her.”

The cows eventually chased Kaufman into a fence, where she was arrested, according to The Associated Press.

An arrest report shows the car Kaufman was in crashed during the initial pursuit. A second suspect was captured by a K-9 and arrested.

Kaufman is being held on $4,500 bond, facing charges of resisting an officer and drug possession.
