Creator of ‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ teases new Dark Knight game

The creators of the acclaimed game “Batman: Arkham Origins” teased a new game in the series today.

The announcement comes just days after DC celebrated the 80th anniversary of the caped crusader.

The WB Games Montreal Twitter account had been inactive for nearly four years, which is when the last game in the series, “Batman: Arkham Knight,” came out.

WB Games Montreal is responsible for developing “Batman: Arkham Origins,” while the other games in the series — “Batman: Arkham Asylum” (2009), “Batman: Arkham City” (2011), “Batman: Arkham Origins” (2013) and “Batman: Arkham Knight” (2015) — were all developed by Rocksteady Studios.

WB Games Montreal’s and CNN’s parent company is WarnerMedia.

The cryptic 6-second teaser video showed symbols hinting at a game centering around the Court of Owls, which is a secret society that controls things behind the scenes in Gotham City.

Batman comics writer Scott Snyder wrote in a now deleted tweet, “Wait for it: #bewarethecourtofowls,” which seemingly confirms the inclusion of the secret society.

There is speculation that the demon symbol from the video is in reference to the iconic Batman villain Ra’s Al Ghul, who was last portrayed by Liam Neeson in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.
