Crews set up for Freedom Fest at UW-La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Rainy weather Thursday didn’t get in the way of preparations for the 8th annual Freedom Fest in La Crosse.

Crews were hard at work getting the stage and a couple of sections of seating ready for Saturday’s event.

They actually started setting up for the event Wednesday.

In all, more than 300 volunteers will help out.

Here is a schedule of events on Saturday, July 18th at UW-La Crosse Veteran’s Memorial Sports Complex:

4 p.m.– Stadium Gates Open
5 p.m.– The Remainders
6:30 p.m.– Opening Ceremony
7:15 p.m.– Phillip Phillips
9 p.m.– Fallen Heroes Presentation
10 p.m.– Heart

The evening will be capped off with a fireworks show.
