David G. Moore

David G. Moore, 62 of Dakota, MN passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born September 17, 1960, in La Crosse to Gene and Sharon (Hill) Moore.

On May 17, 1986, he married Carrie Shepardson in Hokah, MN. David had worked as a heavy equipment operator for various construction companies throughout the area as a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139 for 38 years.

David enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as watching the Minnesota Vikings and fixing things. His favorite part of the year was Halloween. Every year David and Carrie would decorate their house for all the family and friends to see. They made it a glorious spectacle that was always remembered for years to come. David’s biggest love however was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Lili. He also enjoyed his Coca Cola and coffee time.

David is survived by his wife, Carrie of Dakota, MN; a son, Nathan (Jenna) Moore of Goodview, MN; a granddaughter, Lilith “Lili” Moore of Goodview, MN; a sister, Tracey (Louie Nephew) Thomas of Minnesota City, MN; a brother, Tim (Kathy) Moore of La Crescent, MN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick, Rita, Tarri, Jerome, Scott, Shawn and Darin; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin brothers, a brother-in-law, Tom and his beloved dog, Buster.
