Deadline for military holiday packages set by USPS
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKBT) — The deadlines are set for mailing holiday presents and care packages to military men and women overseas.
The U.S. Postal Service on Tuesday said people need to get start thinking now about sending their mail to U.S. Troops. The USPS offers a discounted price of $20.40 for its largest Priority Mail flat rate box.
The Postal Service is expecting to process more than 12.6 million pounds of mail for APO/FPO/DPO destinations this holiday season. To ensure timely delivery of holiday wishes by Dec. 25, the Postal Service recommends that cards and packages be sent to military APO/FPO/DPO addresses overseas no later than the mailing dates listed below:
