Defendant in group home shooting ordered to stand trial
A man accused in a fatal shooting at a Madison group home has been ordered to stand trial.
But, investigators say they still don’t know what motivated the man to kill 23-year-old Fatoumatta Jallow and wound one of her co-workers at the group home Dec. 21.
The State Journal says a Dane County judge found probable cause that 25-year-old Ali Hassan, of Fitchburg, committed a felony.
Defense attorney Tracey Wood says she doesn’t know what would have caused Hassan to go to the REM Wisconsin group home and shoot the two women. Authorities say Hassan worked as various REM Wisconsin properties and had last been at the group home where the shooting took place in July.
