Department of Defense releases pictures of Fort McCoy as the Monroe County military installation is housing Afghan refugees

The first group arrived Sunday.
More refugees were expected to arrive at the Monroe County military installation Monday.
According to the DOD, roughly a thousand service members from the U.S. Army and Army Reserve will help provide support to the refugees arriving as part of “Operation Allies Refuge.”
