Diaper donations from Fort McCoy passed along to others

More than $25,000 of diapers were donated

MADISON, Wis. (WISC) – Some of the items donated to the Afghans staying at Fort McCoy are being passed on to others who need them.

The military installation, with the help of American Family insurance, delivered 100,000 unused diapers and wipes to a Madison diaper bank.

The 15 pallets of supplies arrived in Madison Monday afternoon.

“on a month to month basis we are only able to really order enough product to service that particular month so this is huge for us to have back up supplies,” said Village Diaper Bank founder and CEO Megan Sollenberger.

The diaper bank believes the diapers and wipes are worth more than $25,000.
