La Crosse fish lab building in Riverside Park gets initial rezoning OK
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The historic Riverside Park fish control laboratory building is one step closer to becoming an event venue and vacation rental.
The city of La Crosse’s Planning Commission passed an ordinance Monday Nigh to rezone the building as a commercial district.
That would clear the way for the building to be used for commercial purposes.
One proposal calls for the building and surrounding property to be turned into an event center that can be rented for use, and the upper floors to be used as an Airbnb.
These proposed uses are subject to the approval of the city’s Park Board and the Common Council.
