DNR to hold online chat for would-be wardens

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Natural Resources plans to hold an online chat next week for would-be wardens.

DNR Law Enforcement Bureau Assistant Training Director Jeff King will be online Monday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. He’ll answer questions about being a warden.

People can log on to the chat through the warden recruitment chat link on the DNR’s home page.

The DNR is looking to hire a new class of wardens as it grapples with nearly 40 retirements. The agency hopes to hire up to 15 wardens by March.
