Downtown businesses kick off holiday season
More than 70 businesses take part
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Downtown La Crosse is a bit more festive than usual.
The downtown holiday open house kicked off Friday afternoon. More than 70 downtown businesses stayed up late to kick off the holiday shopping season with a bang.
For shoppers it’s a chance to get an early look at some of the holiday merchandise while exploring what the downtown has to offer.
“I think this is a fabulous event for downtown every year we see more people coming in, and there are some people who are thoroughly enjoying shopping. They’re taking their time, they’re going to different stores. They’re finding out what’s downtown and really liking what they see,” said Owner of Finnottes, Laurie Finn.
The event ran until 8 p.m.
