Drought in Wisconsin, Minnesota can be tough on grass
La Crosse County is a little more than 5 inches below the average rainfall totals for the year.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The rain will see this evening is pretty rare thise days.
According to the U.S Drought Monitor, much of our area is in a moderate drought.
And we’ve had several days of 90 degrees plus.
That can be tough on your lawn, no matter the size.
If you have use your lawn a lot, you will want to water it to keep it healthy.
But if not, there is another option.
“You can just allow your grass to go dormant and it will be just fine in that brown, dead looking, but healthily, healthy plant,” said Forest Hills Golf superintendent Jake Dunn.
