Eagles offense could take flight

Skill players return to UW-L team looking for turnaround season

UW-La Crosse began football practice Sunday night with many of its key players back on the field.

The defense returns its top two tacklers, but the Eagles offense has the potential to soar.

UW-L returns its top four rushers and five of its top six receivers from 2013, not to mention quarterback Trent Cummings. This has Head Coach Joel Dettwiler very excited.

“Feel very good about our skill positions. They have to rise to the challenge, but we’ve got a Jared Stan back, a Tony Bilderback back, a Matt Krier, Ben Hertrampf…  We can list a bunch of names there,” he said.

“We have a lot of guys that have potential to make a lot of plays.”

UW-La Crosse went 3-7 last year.
