Ear protection donation made to La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A donation will help protect members of the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department.
The Department was fitted for custom hearing protection Wednesday.
The donation comes during Better Hearing Month.
Loud noise is one of the most common causes of hearing loss, according to the National Institute on Aging.
The hope is to help give back to those that serve our community.
“They probably do more noise related things, what with all the training they do on the gun range and all that, so they probably get more exposure to noise then the average person,” said Tom Vierling, owner of the Better Hearing Center.
The sheriffs deputies also received a hearing screening.
