Early morning fire in Waterloo leaves 2 injured
WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — Firefighters are investing an early morning fire at a Waterloo apartment complex that left two people injured.
The fire was reported about 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Battalion Chief Mike Jenn told the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier that when firefighters arrived they found one man outside with burns. Another person had difficulty breathing. Both were taken to a hospital.
Jenn says the cause of the fire hadn’t been determined but it started in a first-floor kitchen near a stove.
