Early trout season starts
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The return of early trout season is exciting news for many anglers.
The season started Saturday and runs until midnight May 5.
According to DNR fisheries biologists, fly rods and spinning rods both work for frosty conditions.
Early season anglers must have a valid 2016-2017 fishing license and a trout stamp.
Licenses are valid from April 1 through March 31 the following year.
