Education official to visit Wisconsin for conference
ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (AP) — A top official in the U.S. Department of Education will be in Wisconsin for a rural schools conference.
John White, who is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Rural Outreach, will participate in a roundtable and give a speech at the Wisconsin Schools Rural Alliance Conference on Thursday in Rothschild.
He’s expected to discuss preparing rural students for college and careers, President Obama’s rural initiatives, future proposals and examples of collaboration between rural school districts.
The conference is at the Stoney Creek Inn in Rothschild.
