Eiliv E. Ellefson
November 27, 1979 ~ October 26, 2022
Eiliv E. Ellefson, age 42, of Viroqua, WI, went to join his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 following an automobile accident. In keeping with his generous nature, Eiliv was able to help others by giving the gift of life as an organ and tissue donor. He was born in Viroqua, WI, on November 27, 1979, the son of Rev. Elmer and Joann (Stebbins) Ellefson. He graduated from
Viroqua High School before going to work at NAPA parts and then completing his education at Chippewa Valley Technical College. Eiliv was employed for a time at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Viroqua, and, most recently, at Sleepy Hollow the last few years. He was married to Tia Funk, and before their divorce they were blessed with a son, Ethan. Eiliv was a caring father who enjoyed being with Ethan during his free time; he was always ready for an outdoor adventure with his son! Camping in his homemade RV, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, motorcycling, and riding in dune buggies were just some of the activities they loved doing together. Eiliv was always ready for a game of disk golf, taking motorcycle day trips, or traveling to places like Hawaii or Colorado. He was also a music fan who was into heavy metal rock concerts, recently attending an Iron Maiden show with Ethan.
Eiliv is survived by his son, Ethan and his five siblings; his mother, Joann Ellefson; brothers: Elias (Carrie) and Elmer (Amy) Ellefson Jr.; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Rev. Elmer Sr., Eiliv was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
