Eleanor Mondale memorialized in Minneapolis service

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Broadcast personality Eleanor Mondale is being remembered at a memorial service in Minneapolis.

The daughter of former Vice President Walter Mondale died last month at age 51 after fighting brain cancer.

More than 1,000 people filled St. Mark’s Episcopal Church for Wednesday’s service, including Walter and Joan Mondale, Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken and Gov. Mark Dayton.

Eulogists included her brothers, Bill and Ted, and her WCCO-AM broadcasting partner Suzie Jones.
