Election to be focus for upcoming ‘Community Conversation’ in La Crosse

Virtual event includes member of the Wisconsin Election Commission

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The election is in 15 days and Wisconsin’s election officials are set to share what they are doing to prepare for election day.

‘Election Update: What You Need to Know’ is the latest in the Communition Conversations effort from the Interfaith Leaders Coalition.

The Wisconsin Election Commission’s Reid Magney will take part in the event.

He says with so much attention on the Wisconsin’s election results, people from in and outside of the state are trying to add the voice, which can be confusing.

“We have a lot of groups. Some from within Wisconsin, some California or wherever, Washington D.C. who think they need to help us. And so they’re sending texts and things like that to people and it’s not really helpful,” said Wisconsin Elections Commission public information officer Reid Magney.

The online only event will start at noon on Wednesday.
