Electric vehicle owners help educate La Crosse community

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – La Crosse is taking part in National Drive Electric Week. Sunday afternoon, La Crosse area electric vehicle drivers, riders, and enthusiasts learned and shared information about electric vehicles at Copeland Park.

The event highlighted the climate, clean-air benefits, and cost-savings of electric vehicles. Event Organizers say over 60 percent of car buyers in the U.S. are interested in electric vehicles and they want to educate the La Crosse community about the benefits.

“A lot of interest in electric cars these days. A lot of the manufacturers are in the process of either having cars on the road or making cars. A lot of excitement around them, trying to reduce emissions, save money, Electric cars are pretty fun actually,” said Volunteer Organizer, Park Hunter.

La Crosse’s event is one of more than 180 across the nation.
