Elvis Explosion fills La Crosse Center with the music of Elvis

Event brings tribute artists from around the world

The sights and sounds of one of music’s most missed performers is filling the La Crosse Center this weekend.

Elvis tribute artists are competing in front of thousands of fans for $10,000 during the 17th “Elvis Explosion” event.

What started off as a small karaoke competition has taken flight with more than 30 tribute artists competing.

The $10,000 will be split up between the top ten performers, many of which have traveled quite a ways to take part this year.

“We have 5 Elvis tribute artists from Canada, one from London England, but in years past we have had from Australia, China, Japan so this is the 17th year and they come in from all over to pay homage to arguably the greatest entertainer that ever lived,” said Elvis Explosion Producer Ronny Craig.

The event finishes up Sunday afternoon.
