Extension of King Street Greenway to be focus of meeting in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Happening Thursday, you can learn about an extension of the King Street Greenway.
The workshops will highlight the initial concepts and challenges, preliminary survey results and lead several exercises to gather public input on facility design.
Greenways are designated and designed to give bicycle and pedestrian travel priority.
The existing King Street Greenway runs from 22nd Street to 7th Street.
Plans call for extending the greenway from 7th Street to the Mississippi River.
There will be two sessions of the public workshop at the La Crosse Center’s North Hall.
An afternoon session starts at 3:30 p.m. and an evening session at 5:30 p.m.
An online survey for the project is still open through the end of the month.
