Family Fun Run at Myrick Park brings awareness to child abuse prevention
Groups like Bikers Against Child Abuse also showed up to support the event

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – As Child Abuse Prevention Month continues, local groups have come together to promote a fun family experience.
The Coulee Region Child Abuse Prevention Task Force held a Family Fun Run Saturday at Myrick Park.
There was a one-mile or three-mile race with games and activities for all ages.
Groups like Bikers Against Child Abuse also showed up to support the event.
The event celebrates being together and being aware that abuse can happen anywhere.
“To be aware. Aware that child abuse and neglect happens in our community, and how can everyone be a part of that difference to make a change for kids and families,” Nicole Milliren, the Chairperson of the Child Abuse Prevention Task Force.
Last year’s event was canceled because of the pandemic, but organizers plan on holding this event every year.
