Family of teen killed by truck files notice
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — The family of a Sheboygan teen struck and killed by a city truck has filed a legal notice.
But, the family’s attorney says a decision on whether to pursue a possible lawsuit won’t be made until investigators finish their work. Eighteen-year-old Jaime Olivas was hit by a leaf collection truck in front of Tower Academy Nov. 29.
The Sheboygan Press says the notice filed against the city alleges it was negligent, but does not further explain. The notice is often a precursor to a lawsuit.
