FBI ups reward to $20K in Jakubowski manhunt
The FBI has raised the reward in the search for Joseph Jakubowski, who is wanted in connection with a gun store burglary and vehicle arson last week.
Milwaukee division FBI Special Agent in Charge Justin Tolomeo said Tuesday afternoon that the reward is now $20,000, doubled from the original $10,000, for information leading to the successful location of Jakubowski.
Jakubowski is wanted in connection with the burglary Tuesday at Armageddon, a gun shop in Janesville, and theft of 16 handguns and rifles. Jakubowski’s vehicle was found on fire less than a half-hour after the burglary, officials said. He’s also made threats to schools, law enforcement and government, police say. A nationwide, multiagency manhunt was launched Thursday to find Jakubowski, and area schools, churches and government buildings have taken extra safety precautions.

“We have increased the reward appealing to those in the public who may be able to assist us in
a safe and peaceful resolution for all concerned,” Tolomeo said in a news release.
The FBI also released an enhanced photo Tuesday of Jakubowski that shows what he might look like with a shaved head and without facial hair. Authorities said he might have attempted to alter his appearance.
The FBI asked the public be vigilant and report suspicious activity or sightings of Jakubowski to law enforcement.
Jakubowski’s stepfather Don McLean told News 3 Monday that Jakubowski is “as dangerous as they say he is.” His family said they encourage him to turn himself in.
A video of Jakubowski shows him dropping a white envelope addressed to President Donald Trump in a mailbox Tuesday. The video ends with Jakubowski saying, “game time.” Police said agencies have received hundreds of leads, but there haven’t been any substantiated sightings of him.
Those with information are urged to contact the FBI via its tip line at 800-225-5324 or via tips.fbi.gov.

Monday night, officials released photos of several tattoos on Jakubowski’s hand and arms.
