Fees to use ‘Fields for Kids’ in La Crosse is increasing
CRUSA: There were several incidents this summer that left the fields in poor condition
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Playing on some premier fields in La Crosse will cost triple what it used to.
Monday, the board of public works approved increasing the fee for people to use the field.
It’s known as ‘Fields For Kids’ which is located near the industrial park. The fields are used for local soccer games and other community events.
The fee went from 30 dollars a game to 100 dollars.
“Those fields were raised to fees that were comparable for using Copeland and stuff like that,” said Jared Flick, of La Crosse Parks and Rec.
The Coulee Region United Soccer Association, or CRUSA, runs the facility. The group says there were several incidents this summer that left the fields in poor condition.
