Fight the Flood benefit concert to raise money for flood victims

A major flood relief effort is underway in La Crosse.

The Fight The Flood benefit will feature more than 20 bands for a benefit concert.

All money raised will be distributed to flood relief efforts through local Rotary groups.

Mayo Clinic Health System donated $15,000 to start the fund raising.

The organizer of the event says it is encouraging to see so many area organizations ready to help.
“The magnitude of a show like this doesn’t happen without a lot, a lot of people coming together and giving their time and effort and resources,” said Andy Hughes, Fight the Flood organizer.

The Fight the Flood benefit is Thursday, September 13th at the Oktoberfest Grounds in La Crosse.

Heatbox, Bill Miller, TUGG and Reed Grimm are set to perform.

The event is free to attend and donations will be accepted.
