Film festival to feature Ed Asner, Daniel Baldwin
Spring Grove Caledonia Film Festival bringing in dozens of filmmakers
SPRING GROVE, Minn. (WKBT) – Spring Grove will be full of film fans, as well as a couple of celebrities.
Special guests for this year’s Spring Grove Caledonia Film Festival include Daniel Baldwin and Ed Asner.
Baldwin will be answering questions after the showing of a film he directed, called “My Promise to PJ”.
His brothers Alec and Avis Baldwin are in the film.
The film follows his journey after his friend PJ died of a drug overdose and focuses on those left behind after losing someone to the opioid epidemic.
“With this opioid epidemic that’s going on, I made the film in hopes to help people process and give them a voice,” says Baldwin.
The festival starts Friday afternoon and runs through the weekend.
A parade for the festival and Ed Asner is taking place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
