Final days of bell ringing for Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is pushing ahead to reach its fundraising goal.

Bell ringing efforts for the Red Kettle campaign runs through December 24th.

Saturday, Mayo Clinic Health System is sponsoring a match day.

$15,000 of donations will be matched at kettles in La Crosse County.

Salvation Army staff say every donation big or small is appreciated.

“A dollar can go so far help someone get a hot shower for the day that maybe they don’t have that opportunity elsewhere, five dollars can help a single mother with her kids get some groceries for the family,” said Alex Riley, Volunteer Coordinator with the Salvation Army of La Crosse.

While bell ringing wraps up on December 24th, the red kettle campaign runs through the end of January.
