Fire damages apartment on La Crosse’s north side
LA CROSSE, Wis. — La Crosse firefighters are working to put out an apartment fire on the north side.

The fire was reported just before 3:30 p.m. near the corner of Liberty and Gould streets.
Flames and smoke were coming from the multi-unit apartment building when crews arrived at the scene.
15329554The La Crosse Fire Department says the fire started in a 2nd floor apartment, but they do not know the cause.
Tri-State Ambulance says one person was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It’s not clear how many residents were in the building when the fire started.
A La Crosse MTU bus was on the scene to serve as refuge for firefighters from the heat.
