FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Warm weekend ahead-Erik Dean
If you have any outdoor plans, I think you'll be okay.
DISCUSSION: WOW! What a rainy start to your weekend. Some places picked up 2 to as much as 3 inches of rain. In La Crosse, we picked up 1.46″ which puts us at .42″ above normal for the month, but still well below normal for the year. We need 1.84″ right now just to break even for the year.
Saturday, we’ll start the morning off with mostly cloudy skies. Some places could see some patchy fog. The clouds will dissipate as we roll into the afternoon hours. Then we warm up for Sunday with highs in the upper 80s with plenty of sunshine, but that dew point will start to inch back up as we head into the next couple of days, so we’ll have a heat index to contend with. Bottom line, stay hydrated this weekend.
In terms of temperatures, we’ll hover above normal until we get to Wednesday. Highs will be in the 90s for Monday & Tuesday. Now in La Crosse we’ve only had 6 days with highs in the 90s. Then we get into Wednesday as a front pushes through which will allow the temperatures to drop again. By next weekend we do it all over again with highs in the upper 80s – low 90s.
Enjoy your weekend!
