First-year Aquinas coach Lee searching for new QB
LA CROSSE, WI — New Aquinas head coach Tom Lee has the tough task of finding the replacement to graduated quarterback Michael Conway.
It’s just one of the many tasks for the only new head football coach in the Mississippi Valley Conference for 2013.
“If I had Mike Conway I’d throw the ball 36 times a game because he’s Mike Conway”, said Lee.
“We don’t have Mike Conway. We have a couple of young guys, well everybody is young in high school, but inexperienced guys competing for the quarterback job. They’ll just have to make sure that they can throw the ball to the guys in the correct color jerseys and manage the game.”
21439698Conway is a walk-on with the University of Minnesota and will redshirt his freshman year with the Golden Gophers. He was the 2012 MVC Player of the Year.
