…A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM CDT FOR SOUTHERN
JUNEAU…VERNON…RICHLAND…CRAWFORD AND SOUTHERN MONROE COUNTIES…

At 534 PM CDT, numerous roads remained closed due to flooding or
washouts with additional roads water-covered. Use caution when
traveling through this region and never drive around barricades. In
addition, more rain is expected tonight and may cause additional
flooding across the region.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
