Fog, Rain & Snow Showers Tonight -Bill Graul
ALERT DAY Wednesday Night & Thursday for Chance of Accumulating Snow
WHAT I’M TRACKING:
I’m tracking 2 storms. The first is the one that has brought mostly rain Sunday night and today… but the rain showers could mix with and change to snow showers overnight, especially north and west. Light snow showers or a light wintry mix could linger in spots on Tuesday as well, especially in the morning.
The 2nd storm I’m tracking will bring the potential for accumulating snow to our area Wednesday night and Thursday. It’s still too early to say how much snow, but more than 4″ or 5″ is looking quite possible at this time for many areas.
PLANNING YOUR NEXT 24 HOURS:
Tonight will be cloudy with areas of fog. In fact, a DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect for many areas until midnight. Otherwise, expect scattered rain showers this evening, with snow showers mixing in overnight. Lows will be in the low-mid 30s. Lingering light snow showers or a light mix will be possible Tuesday. High temps Tuesday will be in the mid 30s.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Wednesday will be cloudy, but dry during the day. The next storm then moves in Wednesday night with the chance for mainly snow. Snow chances will last into Thursday as well. As mentioned above, several inches of snow look possible with this storm… so Wednesday night and Thursday will be ALERT DAYS due to possible travel impacts. Be sure to stay tuned for updates over the next 48 hours.
Friday through the weekend and into early next week looks mostly cloudy. There could be some light precip. chances at times in the form of light snow showers or flurries. Highs will be in the 20s to low 30s, with lows mainly in the teens.
Have a great night! -Meteorologist Bill Graul
