Food distributed to students from Western Technical College

Non-perishable food will be given to students

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Western Technical College is making food available for students while campus is closed.

Employees from the Cavailer Cupboard food pantry distributed packages of non-perishable food to students on campus Monday.

The effort is a way for the College to continue to meet the needs of students.

“We know our students are really working hard to be successful, but we also know that it’s really important to serve students holistically so not only do they need help with studying and taking classes but some time they need help with just basic needs,” said Amy Thornton, Western Technical College vice president of Student Service and Engagement.

Food distribution hours are also scheduled to take place on Wednesday and Saturday.
