Food distribution helps hundreds in La Crosse
Hunger Task Force and Salvation Army of La Crosse County partnered for the distribution
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A free food distribution is helping La Crosse area families.
The Hunger Task Force and Salvation Army of La Crosse County came together for the distribution Friday afternoon.
Together they handed out boxes of food at Salvation Army’s warehouse.
There was already a line of cars of people waiting When the distribution started ahead of the distribution.
“A lot of times we will have people show up almost an hour ahead of time. Which to me really shows, you know, that people are really going to wait in line for a box of food. We know people are needing it right now,” said Hunger Task Force executive director Shelly Fortner.
The two groups are planning another distribution event for the first Friday of the coming months.
