Food donations benefit those in need as semester ends at UWL
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Students from UW-La Crosse have a chance to leave an impact as they leave for the winter break.
An ‘End of the Semester Food Drive’ provided an opportunity for students to donate any unwanted food before they head home for break.
Volunteers collected the donations from residence halls Monday.
All food collected will support the UWL Campus Food Pantry.
Just because the semester is over, some students will still call La Crosse home.
“There is always still going to be hunger, that’s never going to go away, so it’s great to help out the whole UWL campus population and any student who live off-campus and have to stick around for the holidays for work or other commitments that they’re involved with,” said Timmy Kissel, UW-La Crosse Food Insecurity Program Supervisor.
The Pantry is located in the UWL Student Union.
