Former Diocese of La Crosse priest injured in rollover crash
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Former Diocese of La Crosse priest Robert Flock was injured in a vehicle crash in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
The Diocese says Auxiliary Bishop Flock of the Archdiocese of Cochabamba was returning with two other priests from an installation of a newly appointed pastor in the Archdiocese when the truck they were riding in went off the road.
Police reports state the crash happened in the Town of Parotani, about 25 miles outside of Cochabamba. Bishop Flock was sitting in the front passenger seat when the truck went off the road, flipping three times.
Bishop Flock suffered several broken ribs, according to police reports. The priests in the back seat received several cuts and bruises. Archbishop Tito had bruises to the head. The Diocese of La Crosse says all of them are reported to be released from the hospital on Monday.
Winding roads and heavy rains appear to be related to the cause of the crash, according to police.
