Former La Crosse police officer reaches agreement with city

Separation agreement ends Alan Iverson's employment with police dept.

A La Crosse police sergeant accused of threatening to kill his wife has accepted, signed and turned in the separation agreement from the City of La Crosse.

The separation agreement ends Alan Iverson’s employment with the La Crosse Police Department.

La Crosse City Attorney Stephen Matty said the details of the separation will be released at a later date pending a challenge from Iverson.

Iverson was arrested in February after his wife said he threatened to shoot her, their kids, and himself after she asked for a divorce. Iverson had been on paid administrative leave since his arrest.

Also part of a diversion agreement, Iverson will be monitored by the Jackson/Trempealeau Diversion Program.
