Free COVID-19 testing site hosted in Arcadia

Additional testing site coming in Onalaska

ARCADIA, Wis. (WKBT) – A free COVID-19 testing site is helping people in our area know if they have the virus.

The Trempealeau County Health Department hosted testing event Wednesday evening at Arcadia High School.

The free event staffed by Wisconsin National Guard members is the latest in a string of testing efforts throughout the state.

Bringing testing into the county is helpful for those in low population density areas.

“We’re a small county, we’re rural. And a lot of our people don’t have a lot of access to transportation, because we have no public transportation here. So having something close and convient is important,” said Barb Barczak, Trempealeau County Health Department health officer.

A testing site is Thursday in Onalaska.
