Free medical provider thanks community for 25 years of support
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT)- Community members in Sparta are celebrating their Make A Difference Week with a special fair at Mueller Square.
St. Clare Health Mission of Monroe County began providing free medical care and medicines for Monroe County residents in November 1996.
They are celebrating their 25th year and wanted to help thank the many community members who help make their service possible.
“We feel that we provide a very valuable service. There are multiple non-profits here and they all address different types of needs in our area. We at St. Clare Health Mission try to provide basic health care,” St. Clare Health Mission Medical Director, Michael Saunders.
Saint Care Health Mission says that the expansion of health insurance access through the Affordable Care Act has decreased the number of uninsured adults in Monroe County.
