Free Speech Week at UW-La Crosse

Admission is free for both events, but registration is required for the virtual reception to follow

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Tomorrow marks the beginning of Free Speech Week at UW La Crosse.

Two virtual lectures will be highlighting the week’s events.

Topics for the week will include the Me-Too Movement, political polarization and the news media, and emerging feminism.

Kenyette Tisha Barnes, a political strategist and co-founder of #MuteRKelly will speak on Activism, intersectionality, and agency in the era of #MeToo tomorrow, starting at 6 PM.

Vanessa Otero, the founder of Ad Fontes media will speak on Media bias and political polarization starting at 6 PM on Thursday.
