Future of La Crosse’s Valley View Mall in question
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The future of La Crosse Valley View Mall is in question.
Preit, the Pennsylvania based company that owns Valley View Mall, says the 39-year-old mall will be transitioned out of the company’s portfolio at some point and is no longer considered one of its core properties.
The information comes from the 2018 4th quarter earnings report released by the company.
Preit currently owns 21 malls across the country, including Valley View Mall.
The mall has lost three anchor stores since 2017.
News 8 confirmed Thursday afternoon that the Valley View Mall’s fourth anchor store,. J.C. Penney will remain open and is not one of the 27 stores set to close in this latest round of closures.
