G-E-T’s Vocal Point to perform with nationally-known group
GALESVILLE, Wis. (WKBT) — Some talented high school singers are making quite a name for themselves.
G-E-T High School’s a cappella group, Vocal Point, is heading to Madison Thursday to perform with the nationally-known group “Vocalosity.”
They were invited by Deke Sharon, the founder of “Vocalosity,” and producer for the Movie “Pitch Perfect.”
For the members in the group, they say these kind of performances give them the same kind of rush as scoring a game-winning touchdown.
“It’s got the same energy as playing a basketball or football game. The crowd roars when you walk on stage, they’re all excited because they want to hear what we can do, and then we get excited to perform for them, and then we give a really good show, and then we walk off more excited than we came on,” said Vocal Point singer Alex Sill.
Vocal Point has also been selected to sing at the National A Cappella Convention in Memphis.
They’re gearing up for the International Championship of High School A Cappella as well.
