Galesville farm loses tractors, tools in shed fire

GALESVILLE, Wis. — A Galesville dairy farmer is counting his losses after fire destroys a pole shed.

The fire started Thursday just before 3:00 p.m. at Arctic View Farms on County Road T.

No one was hurt by the fire, but several firefighters were treated for symptoms related to the hot temperatures Thursday.

The shed is a total loss. Farmer Paul Halderson tells News 8 the cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Halderson says he and others were able to move some large machinery out of the shed, but he says two tractors, a combine, building materials and tools were all destroyed in the fire.

The family is waiting to see what insurance will cover.
