Glitch fouls pandemic unemployment payments
Double deposits to US Bank accounts will be pulled, redistributed, DWD says

MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) – A technological malfunction resulted in double pandemic unemployment compensation payments into US Bank accounts today, according to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
The errant payments were removed from the US bank accounts and be redistributed as soon as possible, the DWD said in a news release.
At issue were Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation and unemployment insurance payments into claimants’ US Bank accounts, the DWD said.
The DWD is working with US Bank to redistribute appropriate funds as soon as possible, said the agency, apologizing for the inconvenience.
