Gov. Walker asks SBA to help Outagamie Co. storm victims
MADISON, WI — Governor Scott Walker is asking the Small Business Administration (SBA) to help storm damage victims in Outagamie County.
The damage to homes and businesses from the August 7 storm system didn’t qualify for a Federal Emergency Management disaster declaration.
“This declaration would allow individuals and businesses affected by the storms to apply for low-interest loans,” Governor Walker said. “This option helps the recovery by allowing people to begin much-needed repairs.”
The National Weather Service confirmed six tornadoes moved through the Fox Valley, causing more than $30 million in damage in Outagamie County alone.
